1/35th Scale Tamiya Challanger II (Desertized)

April 7, 2014 · in Armor · · 6 · 1.1K

Ok, here are some Apple 4 cell phone shots from the workbench of my latest and not quite finished Challanger II. Tamiya arcylics, with a MIg modern armor brown wash...Tamiya and MIg pastels to come soon, and still some decals and washes to go...seems never ending ! But it was a most enjoyable two and a half months and I am really having a lot of fun with this project and a couple of others.

Straight out of the box so far and probably will keep it that way.

  1. Looks to be a nice one, George...

  2. Nice Chally, George.

Instead of straight pastels everywhere, a 'dry' spray of Model Master Sand colour along the lower skirts is really convincing, with pastels for weathering along the horizontal upper decks.

Looking forward to the finished result.

  3. Hey George, a big beast there.
    Looking good though.

  4. George,
I look forward to seeing this completed. Great so far.

  5. George, beautiful job on one of my favorite tanks. The Desertised Challenger II with the skirts always makes me think of the Middle Ages, with the knight on his horse with armored skirts. Looks perfect to me now, so I will be on the lookout for the final. Thanks for posting!
