Tamiya 1/48 Spitfire MkVB
My tribute to the Polish pilots of the war. Sqdn Leader Jan Zumbach". 303 Sqdn RAF September 1942
Techmod decals which are very thin and will tear if you're not careful, but go on beautifully.
I loved this build. Hope you like, Paul.
Nice model Paul - loving the detail
Just asking but what paints did you use to achieve that camo?
Just I'm builting a Spitfire MKIXc and struggleing to find colours
Thank you. I use Model Master enamels. RAF Ocean Grey and RAF dark green on top. Medium sea grey underneath. I love enamel. I find it easier to work with, doesn't dry as fast when air brushing. Lasts longer too. All the best Paul.
I agree re enamels for thus type of work, and MM as well. Very nice build.
Nice Spitfire Paul.
Great finish and detail.
Well done mate.
Thank you. π
Can't get enough Spitfires. Well-done VB, Paul.
That photo on the tablecloth with the decals REALLY brings out the color(s). I like it.
Always like looking at Spitfires and yours is easy on the eyes.
Well done.
Beautiful Spitfire Paul. Fine tribute to a Polish legend!
Thank you. I'm hoping to do a few other countries as well. Holland, Egypt etc. Fun. π
Excellent Spitfire, Paul.
Especially the chippings. Did you paint them on?
Thank you. I use a silver pen. I use it at an angle, and kind of "walk" over the area like a person would. Kind of painting, but with a pen. π
Very nice work Paul, I notice you attach your clear parts after spraying and yet you still achieve a solid join with no gaps ,very impresive .
N.
Thank you. I use wood glue, which seals any gaps nicely. Luckily, Tamiya fits so nicely anyway. π
Nice finish on this great model, Paul, thanks for sharing.
Thank you very much. π
Another great Spitfire.
Thanks mate. π Much appreciated.
Nice Spitfire Paul, got the same kit/decal combination in my stash.
Good to hear that the decals are nice:-)
Thanks Bernd. Hope you enjoy yours when you get to it. π
Nice looking Spitfire Paul, really like the chipping
Thanks Rick. π
