Fujimi 1/72 Mig-21 MF – Afghan livery
This was from a 2013 group build for our Tulsa club - 6 of us ended up finishing 21's (sorry - can't find those pics at the moment). I had an aftermarket decal set, and chose the Afghan version as I just liked the color scheme. The kit (ebay purchase) came with an aftermarket resin seat, and as usual for my builds I added a pilot. Everything else was OOB. Used a panel line wash and pastel powders for shading and weathering.
I like that paint scheme, Greg...and regarding the base, where do you guys get that plastic rod I always see?
I found a supplier in town that provides acrylic rod. I just order 6 foot lengths of 3/8" and 3/16", then cut to fit for my stands.
Sharp looking model, nice paint scheme.
Excellent result there, nice looking. I can see why you decided to do that scheme.
🙂 ... Greetings ... 🙂 :
Good work on that Mig - 21, and a very " not seen much " paint scheme.
A very nice result, Greg. The camo scheme is well-considered, and the model well-presented.
Neat work, Greg, I particularly like the pictures showing the under surface, your stand doesn't detract from the realism at all.
nice mig
Very nice Greg! That's a great camo scheme as well.
Stunning build, Fujimis MiG-21 kits are maybe not too accurate but a very nice build, yours look the part !
Great paint job and display !
That's a killer paint job.I'd like to do one in 1-48th.
What they looked like before we splashed them.
