Spitfire F Mk.22

October 3, 2015 · in Aviation · · 14 · 2.6K

The last of Spitfires – Mk.22, kit. This is completely OOB build – I've only added position lights, seat belts and drilled exhausts. Decal sheet has a lot of stencils. By the way – not one of the best Airfix kit that I've built – surface is not smooth at some areas, wing's parts fit not good.

This Spitfires were painted with High Speed Silver lacquer, so no NMF look or panel effects. I've used Alclad II lacquer for this one. Weathered with oils and Tamiya pigments.

  1. Dmitry, The MK 22, is one of my favorite looking aircraft and your work here looks great. I didn't realize it was 1/72 scale at first. I like this one a lot.

  9. Very very nice. If there was any problem with that kit, "some modeling ability required" certainly took care of it.
