1/35 Czech Air Force Mi-24 Attack Helicopter
I finally finished this thing after four months of working on it almost every night. I used several after-market sets including PE by Eduard and a resin interior kit by Verlinden. In the end, I only used parts of each set. The interior ended up being some Resin, some model, and some Eduard PE. The quality of the kit was a bit disappointing with parts not fitting properly, being out of scale, and just plain poor molding, but in the end it turned out pretty well. This is the first time I've ever painted this type of camo so I experimented a lot with paint dilutions and masking before I found the right combination. The paint went on smooth as glass with no rough spots or out of scale texturing. Many parts were scratch-built.

Well...despite "poor quality", as you put it, it certainly looks to be Top Quality workmanship from where I'M sittin'... - 🙂

🙂 ... Greetings ... 🙂 :
George ... I have been following this build . I am very much interested in getting this model. You mention " poor quality " ... to be honest with you ... the end result show NO such thing, this I say with all due respect . Job well done and way good skills. Thanks for sharing these pictures .

Thanks. I would definitely get it. Trumpeter models are certainly challenging to say the least, but that's what makes them fun to build. Most parts fit well, but there are some really frustrating ones that just need some TLC, finesse, and some patience.

That looks absolutely stunning! I know how tricky helicopters are to build as well! This is seriously impressive!

Thanks, Greg. Yes, I'm really pleased with it. I'm building a Mig-23 and I have some work in progress pics up. It's actually turning out better than the Hind, I think, but we'll see. Hopefully, I won't spill a bottle of super glue on it.

George, Your Hind is cute and very impressive looks, congratulations on the successful model. I have made the Mi-24D model on 1/72 scale, I will try to present it soon. Once again great applause for your workshop.
