Republic F-84G Thunderjet from Tamiya – Yugoslavia Air Force
Hello Folks
This my first post on iModeler site. I would like to present my last build for 2015. It is Republic F-84G Thunderjet from Tamiya in Yugoslavia Air force markings - 88th Regiment Batajnica AB from 1962.
What can I say this was fantastic kit from Tamiya, goes together like a dream.
Couple information on the paint and goodies used in this build:
Kit manufacture: Tamiya 61060
Scale: 1/48
Type: Republic F-84G Thunderjet
Extras used: Eduard Seat Belts, HDL 48017 decals
Paints and colors used: Tamiya XF-18, XF-81 and XF-54
Other info: Weathering done using Mig Dark Brown enamel washes, and Tamiya Wheathering set, Tamiya XF-19 Smoke for gun smoke stains.
So here it is hope you will like it [smile]
What a beautiful model, welcome to iModeler, Michal. Tamiya have a good reputation, but it takes real skill to make them look as good as this.
Very nice, one of my all time favorite aircraft, beautiful finish!
That's really well done. Welcome!
Let me add my "welcome aboard" and my compliments on your modeling skills...this is one of the better builds of that kit I've seen - outstanding detail work, sir!
Welcome Michal to the best model builders site! Your F 84 looks amazing. Can't wait to see more of your creations!
Michal, welcome! Thanks for showing us a scheme I've never seen before. Beautifully done!
Whose decals?
very nice
It looks cool in the camo paint! I think all other F-84s I've seen were in silver of some sort. Thanks for something so different!
Nice job Michal, welcome aboard, and keep sending more to view.
Greetings Michal, and welcome aboard. Nice way to start, with a really wonderful looking F-84. Great work!. anxious to see more.
Great looking build, and love the choice of schemes for the F-84. Welcome to iModeler as well!
Well-done, Michal. Come back often with your work.
Thanks Guys for such nice comments and real warm welcome. I will definitely show more my builds in the future.
Looks beautiful Michal. A really different scheme. Well done & welcome to the site!
Absolutely gorgeous, Michal. I have a soft spot in my heart for the early straight-winged jets and especially both major versions of the F84; straight AND swept wings. (Same with the Navy's F9 aircraft)
