IAF Fouga Magister Airfix 1:72
This was inspired by an episode described by Steven Pressfield in The Lion's Gate: On the Front Lines of the Six Day War in which newly minted IAF pilots were dispatched on close support missions in Fouga trainers. Compared to newer toolings, this Airfix kit shows its age but is presentable dressed it up in IAF camo and markings courtesy of IsraDecal .
Nicely finished and photographed, sir...I like it.
A sparkling looking model, Dennis.
Great looking Magister Dennis! I just finished one of these same Airfix kits a few months ago (see post here: http://imodeler.com/2015/11/172-fouga-cm-170-magister/) and it took me a while to decide which of the Israeli schemes to use (also used Isradecal). I was pleased with the decals - looks like they went down well for you also. I may actually jump on ebay soon - find another Airfix kit, and build another, so I can add this paint scheme.
Thanks Greg. Love your camo colors and flying stand.
Really neat, Dennis, can't believe it's in 1/72 scale.
Nice build !
Interesting build. Turned out nicely
