1:48 scale, Eduard F6F-3, “Hellcat”
Decent kit of Grumman's fighter, and a pleasure to build. I thought it had excellent exterior detail. The prop was a little disappointing, as was the cockpit. I thought they could been better, but at least Eduard captured the look of the F6F. Probably the best Hellcat kit on the market, in any scale. Here are some pictures, and thanks again for looking.
White “7”, an F6F-3 was a ‘Hellcat' that was assigned to Fighting Sixteen, (VF-16) and was flown from USS Lexington, (CV-16), by Cdr Paul D. Buie.
Cdr. Buie would be credited with the destruction of Nine Japanese aircraft during World War Two, and flew “White 7”, during March, 1944

Nice job on that Hellcat, sir...
SUPERB! You have done an awesome job on this Grumman propcat.
Very nice! Has a nice well-worn look to it.
Nice Hellcat build and good weathering job on it. Both the 1/48th Eduard and Hasegawa kits of the F6F-3 are great to work with.
Looks like it just came off the flight deck. Superb.
Great finish on this Hellcat.
Lovely work Fred. Your weathering is just so good it looks like it needs a thorough wash! I.m about to start this kit & I hope my results will be as good as yours!
