It’s officially a #1 Amazon Best Seller!
Just released this past week and already a #1 Amazon Best Seller.
It’s going to be the basis for next year’s National Memorial Day Concert on PBS, they’re going to do the story of LCOL Don Carlos Faith.
The book is more than the Chosin campaign. It’s a critical look at how the US became involved in Korea, and the disaster and final success that was the first year of the war (before it became a static battle fought for negotiating points at the peace talks). Hopefully a “cautionary tale” for decision-makers today (and with Col. Wilkerson’s “Good Housekeeping Seal” it is being read by Very Serious People Indeed right now).
Getting it read and then forwarded by Col. Lawrence B. Wilkerson (his name’s misspelled on this early draft cover, but it’s right on all the books), Secretary of State Colin Powell’s CoS was the equivalent of finally writing my Ph.D. thesis and PASSING.
Available at Amazon and other places good books are sold.

Good news. It’s selling really well and some solid reviews are on the way. This all comes at a perfect moment for me, as my Osprey editor presents the next project to the Bloomsbury publications committee tomorrow.

When does the book tour start? The radio interviews , the book signings and the television appearances? This is being written with tongue and cheek. Back in the day publicists did all of this stuff for writers. The gifted and talented where treated as such. Because, they where deserving of it.
Congratulations Tom.

That actually happened with Bridgebusters, and it worked for sales. Osprey are working the interviewers I did for BB for interviews on FC, so we shall see. I manged to learn how to wake up at 0355 for an interview at 0400 (0700 on the east coast where it was broadcast), give them ten minutes, hang up and go back to sleep.

Some of us live in fly over cities… like the mid-west. Give us a heads up on radio interviews too. 😉
