I got this as a gift from my Son, a laser cut model by Metal Earth. Two frames with 40 or so parts (some spares)

It took about 6 hours to build. Parts had to be cut out and bent/folded into shape. Individual parts are held together with small tabs which have to be twisted or bent to hold them in place. Quite a lot of detail, but it is very reflective and was difficult to photograph.

  1. My kids got me one of these kits for Christmas 2 years ago. Mine was a star wars tie fighter. Bit more work than they look. Your apache looks nice.

  2. Very cool….almost like a giant Photo-Etch model, huh..? Can you give us some idea of the actual dimensions – unfortunately, there’s no “common object” in one of the pics for reference. Again, good job on a rather unique addition to your collection. Turned out great!

  3. Wow. what nice kit.

  4. 🙂 … Greetings … 🙂 :
Very striking Phil, nice rare piece. Thanks for sharing the pictures.

  5. I like it! I bet this wasn’t easy neither!

  6. Phil, this is great. I’ve never seen one of these before. Excellent work! You are a premier “folder!”
