  1. Now that's beautiful !. Well done Allan !

  2. That looks great! There is just about a flying boat that land planes just don't have. How big is it in 1/44? I'd imagine about a 12" span? The blue shag carpet is a nice touch!

  3. Stellar workmanship, sir...a real stunner.

  4. Love your seaplanes, Allan!

  5. Beautiful ! Did you use the kit decals? if so they held up well.

  6. She's a beaut! Even made those tiny engines pop.

  7. An excellent job- very skillfully built and finished!

  8. Really like this Allen, nice job.

  9. Hello Allan,
Stunning in every aspect. What a sharp finish.

  10. The epitome of a flying boat. A classic build of a classic plane.

  11. Hi Allan, well for my money this is the best so far ,a lovely job done of a gorgeous aircraft, very well done.Did you re-scribe the panel lines or are they raised?,this kit is now on my "to do" list thanks to yours.

    • Thanks Neil, the panel lines are raised, except where I sanded the joins, I look forward to seeing yours.

      • Hi Allen , well one year later and I got round to buying a clipper, it's going together nicely but I was wondering ,did you paint the black leading edges before the silver or after ? cheers N.

        • G'day Neil, good to hear, they say a picture is worth a thousand words so I hope these answer your question !

          • Cheers Allen, I fear I have done mine in the wrong order as I'm attempting to do the anti icing boots last, I'm going to complete the main wing but will probably not do the tail section , there is pictures and footage of these aircraft with none at all so it may well be correct at some point .My attempt is not turning out as good as yours Al but I will see it through.
            Cheers for the help.

  12. Alan,
I proudly add my compliments on a beautiful build. I started one of these but got bogged down with other things. When I finish it I only hope it looks half as good as yours.

  13. That is a real beauty. An inspiration as I start my 1973 Airfix kit.

  14. I think that's the best rendition of this kit I've seen. Excellent work sir.

  15. Thanks for your comment David, glad you like it, how did you come across this post ?
