Atomic City studio scale Klingon D7.

August 26, 2017 · in Sci-fi · · 11 · 2.1K

Pictures of my completed studio scale Klingon D7.

After posting the construction pictures I thought I was close to completion however I wasn't expecting the issues I had with the kit decals. They were well printed but thick, only responded badly to decal solutions and had translucent colours. In the end I stripped them off, repainted the damaged areas and made my own from Xtra Decal. It took about 120 rectangles and black and white circles but they were a vast improvement.

Thanks for looking,

Rob.

    A great looking end result.

  5. ๐Ÿ™‚ ... Greetings ... ๐Ÿ™‚ :
Simple in lines and design ... yet a very impressive design.
The end result makes it stand alone ... good work Robert.

  6. Thanks Gents for the positive comments. As I said in my original post I started this thinking it would be a quick build after the K'tinga but it turned into a real challenge.

  7. Hey Rob! Outstanding. Mr. Whorf would be proud of this ship, even though he's Federation!

  8. Thanks Phil and Jeffry, I see I'm going to have to brush up on my linguistic skills if I keep on with the Klingon subjects?.
