Tamiya 1/16 WWII German Machine Gunner.

December 11, 2017 · in Figures · · 12 · 4.2K

These plastic figures are really well made with good definition and assembly and all at a good price. All my figures up to now have been brush painted with Tamiya acrylics because theyre my paint of choice for the airbrush, but recently Ive been trying out Vallejo Model acrylics for my brush painting and have found they give you a longer brush time and level out nicely. This model was brush painted with Tamiya acrylics except for the face which was painted with oils.

  1. Very nice paint job Robert, he looks very clean, I'm sure his mama will be proud! Good to see some figures here again, cheers!

  2. Anyone who can't paint figures with this kind of expertise certainly gets MY vote. Nice work!

  3. I like the paint job on this, I am not at all good at painting figures. Nice

  4. Beautifully done, and let's say he's ready for inspection!

  5. Beautifully done, Robert! When I was stationed in Fulda, (then) West Germany - 1983-1990, I knew a German gent who looked like this figure. He wasn't old enough to have posed for a 1940s era photo, though! Ha!

    Great job on the painting!

  6. That is one serious looking Landser. Marvelous painting!

  7. You've got some very nice differences in texture here. e.g. the gun and the coat, and the details on the buttons, etc are good too, and he's certainly immaculately turned out.

  8. Great figure with mean machine gun!
