Moldy oldie,IMC 1/72 A-1 Skyraider.
Another moldy oldie, This is from IMC'S battle damage series of the 1970's. Done in South Vietnam AF scheme, I wanted it to still be able to fly so I only used the damaged stabilizer. Got the kit off of the net. I used the kits decals, some which didn't survive the transfer.
Boy, that IS a "moldy oldie", ain't it? Turned out well enough, though. 🙂
Well done! I've got this same kit on my "on deck" bench. I had hoped to finish it in 2017 as a Korean War bird (got the decals), but haven't opened the box yet - too many other distractions - darn those iModeler group builds!
Rob, that's Marshall Kys squadron. I'm amazed the kit had those as markings, they're kinda unusual. Stationed near Saigon, reputedly to forestall coups. The cowl marking is from a VN playing card, I recall, and the other the confucian virtues.
Looking back at the imc aircraft kits, they did have some interesting decal choices.[ I saved most of my instruction plans].
Looks great Robert !
Nice oldie.
Really nice, Robert. I admire these "new" SPADS and yours is very well done.
Great colour scheme. Looks very nice.
Nice Robert.
Thanks all.
Nicely done Robert.
