PZL P.7 of “Bajan Trio” (Arma Hobby 1/72)
A long time ago I’ve assembled several PZL P.7/P.11 kits from Poland manufacturer PZW Siedlce. This kit is still present on the market, but it could be treated only as a “classic” kit nowadays. But last year (2017) another polish company Arma Hobby (which was also known as Attack Squadron) released completely a new kit of P.7.
I’ve got Deluxe Set – two kits in the box, resin wheels, PE parts, masks and decal sheet with 8 options. it’s a short run, but in a very good quality (take a look on WIP photos to see the corrugated skin imitation).Kit provides parts for building early and late version of P.7.
Prototype of this model is the plane of Cpl. Karol Pniak of 122nd Fighter Squadron based in Kraków in 1933. Cpl. Pniak was also a member of aerobatic team “Bajan Trio” with his airplane.
Model was painted with Hataka lacquers (Hataka Orange Line), gloss and satin coats also by this manufacturer.
Thank you for watching!

Very nice work, Dmitry. Looks like a great little model kit for many of us 72nders.

@bails Thanks, Bob! Yes, this kit provides a very good detail level in 1/72 scale.

Nice work, Dmitry! Hataka “orange” is a lacquer, correct?
Dmitry Stropalov said on January 20, 2018
@j-healy Thanks, John! Yes, orange line is lacquers – paints and varnishes.

Amazing little build. Hard to believe it’s a 1/72 scale plane………… but it is.

@lgardner Thank you, Louis!

It reminds a little of the Lysander, one of my favourite aircraft. I’m sure it’s correct but the wing decals seem to be set off to one side. Very neat build.
Dmitry Stropalov said on January 21, 2018
@chinesegeorge Thanks, George! Regarding national insignia – white-red chequers were painted on upper wing surfaces asymmetrically. It was to make aiming harder for enemy. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-OyCwoaNhpfU/UvPi7W0o1lI/AAAAAAAAFCk/g14w7c564ew/s1600/Fotopolska_480090.jpg

Thanks for that information, Dmitry, it must have been confusing for the enemy the first time they saw it.

A simple aircraft by type, but your modelled version is delicate and finely observed.
