1/48 Hasegawa P-47D Mike Gladych
Finished this one in October last year.
56th Fighter Group, Mike Gladych.
1/48 Hasegawa P-47D with decals by Techmod. Bazooka tubes are from the Tamiya kit, wheels from True Details. I used Tamiya rattlecan British Dark Green and Medium Sea Grey.
After I thought it was complete, I noticed a picture on the internet that showed invasion stripes! So, for the first time in fifty years of modeling, I used decals for the stripes. AND THEY WORKED!

Well done Brian, the colorful bunch of P-47's that flew for the 56th FG alone will provide many variations of the type. This being one of them, though not a multi color scheme and more standard then some of the blue, greys and even black schemes that were part of this unit. The Hase kit is a pleasure to build, well done on a scheme you don't see often. Thanks for sharing.
Very nice work...very nice indeed. Love it!
Decals for stripes, what's wrong with that, they turned out very well.
Nicely done Brian, and who doesn't like Jugs. Were the stripes from the kit or aftermarket?
They were from a Superscale sheet I had for a long time, but never used!
Nice!
Like it!
