The Model of the month Prize for November has arrived.......At Last.
I arrived back home from the Congo last night after an unintended stay of 4 weeks, needless to say, I was absolutely finished from all the traveling and suffering from extreme withdrawal symptoms from a lack of building. Also, I received some bad news about my Brother, who has just found out that he has cancer and its quite bad.
Then my wife told me that she also had some good news for me, and it was, I received my Model of the Month Prize... well you guy's made my day, I am looking forward to building a kit for a change and this X 15 is quite an amazing kit, I have already looked at some reference pictures, and I am quite excited to start after I complete the Pilatus 21 that I am busy with.
I want to thank Martin and the imodeler team for am amazing website, and all of you modelers that give me encouragement to build better models.
I will be posting progress on the PC 21 soon.
Thanks again.
Marc
Well deserved prize Marc! Welcome back and all the best for your Brother
Thanks Pedro.
Very well deserved Marc. I'm sorry about your brother.
Thanks for the comment Julian.
congratulations
Thanks Tomas
I suspect a lot of people will be offering very heartfelt congratulations, Marc; your work is amazing. Very sorry to hear about your brother, I wish your family all the very best.
Thanks for your kind comment David, much appreciated.
Nice choice Marc. Sorry to hear about your brother. Wishing you all the best.
Thanks Anthony
Is that the Fisher Models Pitts on your shelf or did you scratch build that one to? Either way I'd like to see more pictures of it!
Hi Josh, yip its a Fisher Pitts S2B, you will find pics of it in my Blog, thanks for the comment.
Yeah they make nice stuff. I want the Christen Eagle and I REALLY want the Cutlass! (Oh and the Alfa B.A.T.!) Too bad I'm on the hook to HPH right now. I'll have to look through the blogs to find the Pitts!
Great Kits, I think they are quite rare at the moment, they were originally made by Airshow Models.
Lovely choice in the kit prize, sir...I'd like one of those myself! Congrats. 🙂
Thanks for all your kind comments and support. Back with the PC 21 and feeling much better.
This X15 can be modelled into an amazing project. Lots of scope for variations of black. I think there may be an aftermarket cockpit/canopy in resin but not sure. Anyway, enjoy!
Thanks Rob, I want to try and scratch build the engine as well as open some panels on this one.
Ah, what a wonderful news! Enjoy
Thanks again Martin, for this amazing site.
A well deserved prize, Marc, I'm sure that with your skills you will make a fantastic job of it. I'm sorry to hear the bad news about the brother. I'm the youngest of four brothers and two of them have been hit by this as well, it's never good news.
Not good news, but keeping myself busy building the PC 21. Thanks again for the comment
Hello Marc,
Very well deserved.
Regards, Dirk.
Hi Marc - You deserve all the plaudits you receive. You do outstanding work and I hope to achieve perhaps half the quality of your work on the Nibbio that's keeping me entertained. All the best - Paul
Hello Marc.
Welcome home from your journeys abroad. I'm sorry to hear about your brother. Wishing you and your family all the best. I thoroughly enjoy reading your build journals and learn a lot from looking at the wonderful photos you post along the way. You have picked a great subject as your prize, (one that you don't see built all that often). I'm sure you will work your magic with this one as you do with your scratch builds. Take care my friend.
Thanks Louis, going to be posting soon on the progress of the PC 21, glad you are enjoying the progress reports I will keep them coming between Hospital visits.
We will keep you and your family in our prayers.
Congrats Marc - look forward to seeing it - and will add your brother to the prayer list!
Thank you as always Greg.
Outstanding, Marc! That looks like a great X-15, too.
Hey Jeff, looking forward to giving the X 15 a go, it will be good to build a kit again.
Congrats Marc. Nothing beats an X 15 especially in 1/32 scale! Can't wait to see you finish this one!
Thanks Buddy, looking forward to seeing you at the Nats.
Well deserved! Enjoy it!
Thank you Grega.
