TAVAS – The Australian Vintage Aviator Society – Great War Flying Display 2018
I haven’t had a chance to do much modelling this year, work has been stupidly busy – we just had the 2018 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast and trains were running 24/7 during the period (I work for Queensland Rail as traincrew), also I’m preparing to move house next month so lots of stuff is either packed up or in the process of being packed. However – as a member of TAVAS I make time to attend the annual airshow, this year being the 100th anniversary of the death of the Red Baron the replica Dr.1 held centre stage. Here are a selection of photo’s from the weekend.

Really well photographed, Bernard. The early planes dueling reminded me of Cole Palen and the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome’s dogfights!
That F-18 sure was doing some low altitude flying & “tricks.” I’ll bet the audience “ate it up!” I certainly would have!!!
