Grumman-Mercedes X-29
How to use up your old car and bike decals...
Buy the cheapest 1/72 kit from your local shop, then put your own stamp on it.
This is the NASA X-29 air racer! Based on the legend of the Sauber Mercedes silver arrows.
Maybe this could be a future group build...
Interesting concept! Nice builds.
Thanks Robert, cheers!
Very nice, Rich!
Cheers mate, thank you.
Wow...now that's downright gorgeous right there. Outstanding NMF on that X-29!
Cheers Craig, thanks mate.
Richard, This is really cool and looks like it was probably a lot of fun to build. Its good to let creativity loose and see what happens ! Well done!
Thanks Terry. Yeah, just a quick build. Sometimes you need one I think.
Great concept, Richard. I came across a website once a few years ago where illustrators had set profiles of well known aircraft types from different eras, but the profiles crossed boundaries, that is, an FW190 might be presented in the livery of a triplane from the Flying Circus, or an F-84 in camo of WW2 Macchi. Never did see anyone take up the challenge though, in actual modelling projects.
Cheers Rob.
I think it's good to let your imagination run wild a bit from time to time.
Beatiful NMF!
Cheers Martin, thank you!
Very nice. Love the finish.
Cheers Michael, much appreciated.
Pretty cool! Came out looking great.
Cheers Greg, just a quick fix! Thanks mate.
