BP Defiant 151 Squadron,FEB 1941, Airfix 1/72 new tool, 100yrs RAF.

What a gem of a kit! Built straight out of the box, Modelmasters flat black, with a coat of clear gloss. Using the decals of 151 Squadron, RAF Wittering , Cambrigdeshire, England, Feb. 1941. I don't think it's an ugly design at all, they said the same about Charlie Brown's Christmas tree...

  1. Ahh and me building his big brother 😉 judging by your comments I ‘d say both Airfix scales Defiant are fine kits. I like yours indeed, nice job

  2. Well done Robert, gotta love the shark teeth. Looks good.

  3. Nice Robert !

Looks great buddy ... Those shark teeth look menacing !

  4. Very nicely done, Robert. It's difficult to do all-black paint jobs, but yours came out great.

  5. Looks good Robert, the turret just adds character and there's that gas detection panel again, well done !

  6. 🙂 … Greetings … 🙂 :
Robert, that model looks great, love that all black scheme. Thanks for sharing the pictures.

  7. Robert, those 'night' schemes are deceptively difficult. They show up every blemish under scrutiny. This is a fantastic execution. When you said you'd do this particular aircraft I was chuffed - the shark mouth is stunning! And the 6th photo particularly is breath-taking! Thanks so much for a brilliant contribution to GB!

  8. Nice work, Robert. The Defiant is an interesting plane.

  9. Very nice looking Defiant Robert. Well done.

  10. Looks great - hadn't seen the shark mouth scheme. Love the tree comment! I build the old-tool Airfix kit, and I do like the look of the Defiant.

  11. Great looking defiant Robert.
