  2. Portuguese FIAT G-91 R3 (NATO Tiger Meet, 1987, Portugal) - Revell, 1:72

Hi iModeler friends,

Another kit that had been given to me almost completely assembled, just to paint.
The kit is from and the decals are aftermarket (can't remember). None of them impressive...
The kit was already assembled out of the box, so I didn't had much options left...
The colors are from Mr. Hobby, and yes, there are two tones of gray in this plane...

The marks are from the Swiss Air Force, in NATO Tiger Meet, 2007, Norway (as you can see at the last photos).
I was suposed to keep the weathering level low, but...

As usual, I'd like your suggestions/advice on what's good and not so, please.
For now, I still miss some lights on the landig gear (WIP- now already updated), an arm to move the ladder and some work on the exausts. Can anyone spot more work to do?
Thanks in advance.

Cheers,
Manuel

  1. Manuel, your painting skills are excellent! Even though you didn't have the fun of putting the kit together, it looks great.

    Bravo!

  2. Beautiful Hornet! Weathering look awesome!

  3. You've done a good job finishing up the "already built" kit, but there IS one thing I noticed you may want to 'fix'. Whoever added the boarding ladder made it too thick and "clunky" - I don't know if it came with the kit or the original builder added it, but it appears out of scale (at least to me). Other than that, it looks pretty good.

    • Hi Craig,
Thank you for your remark. Yes, it's the ladder that came with the kit. And it was even thicker as I've sanded it a bit. And drilled as you might have seen on one of the photos.
I'll try to make one totally from scratch and, if turns out ok, replace it.
Thanks again and please keep sending sugestions,

  4. A nice looking Hornet!

  8. Lovely work on this 1/72 Swiss Hornet in my favorite scale, and a I allways like the Tiger Meet schemes.
