1/35 scale ACV-300 Adnan
Goodday to all ,
This is the 1/35 scale model of the Malaysian armor variant which is the ACV-300 Adnan (IFV Sharpshooter 25mm M242 Bushmaster) modified from the AFV Club model kit serial code AF35016 (Nato AIFV). The Malaysian variant has some modification build in to it such as additional rear smoke grenade launchers , NBC system structure , Trimvane , modified turret (25mm automatic cannon) , Squad compartment and rear end Jerry cans holder.
The kit from AFV was overall a good kit with sufficient detail quality and very few gap/fitting issues. The material used for conversion is modelling cardboard and compact architecture styrofoam. I decided to go with the Digital Camo version which the current scheme used by Malaysian Royal Ranger Regiment. Since the actual subject reference was in a clean state I applied very mild to little weathering. The base texture is made with (Marie’s) acrylics soil colors depicting reddish brown palm soil texture and random grass material.

Love the extra work you did on this, and showing the work-up with raw materials. Turned out very nice.

I totally agree it must have been a nightmare to mask up.
