Me 109 in flight
Hello iModelers!
Again another Me109……:
This was a little testbed project I did in 2017. On the one hand, I once inherited some of these hemispherical wooden bases and on the other hand, I always wanted to show this Me109 in flight. I was happy with the Airfix 1/72 kit. But honestly, I do not like the result of my rotating propeller…..but lessons learned: meanwhile I know how I would do it better.

It’s difficult to replicate a rotating prop to appear “believable”, but for a ‘testbed’ project, it turned out pretty well think. 🙂

The 109 looks great. I decided when I first started out mounting my builds in-flight to just put the props on as if looking at a “still frame” of action. Didn’t want to buy the prop-blur set for every prop plane I built!

Thank you, Greg! I just visited your blog/pictures: yes, indeed, you would have needed to buy a lot of them…..I think I will try one of them next time or just using a less thicker and more transparent clear foil.
