A-7E VA-105 , CVW 3, USS Saratoga 1976, 1/72 Italeri.

The ,sometimes known as the SLUF ,a double threat on the flight deck, with that gapping waist high intake, to the low hung engine exhaust. made hazardous to walk around. Seeing this on the shelf of Willis hobby's, I couldn't resist, being that VA-105 was a part of CVW 3 at the time I was with VF-31 on Saratoga. While separate decal sheets exist for VA-105 A-7's , their out of production, so your not sure of the usefulness of the ones you bye off the net. Carrier Air Wings had up seven different type of aircraft back then, I think now it's about three or four, ah progress. I kind of rushed this one so don't look to close. Added a small portion of CVW 3. Testors rattle cans , kit decals.

  1. Nice work, Robert. That’s a nice kit.

  2. Maybe because the Portuguese Air Force had this plane, or just because I like them ugly, I like the A-7. And you did something that has a meaning to you, how nice.
