Trumpeter 1/72 F-105G “Wild Weasel”
Here’s my latest finished build. The build went together quite well, with the exception of the rear part of the fuselage that caused a lot of extra work… It was painted with Gunze Aqueous acrylic paints and the weathering was done with 502 Abteilung oils.

Thanks Bob, I think this aircraft looks fantastic so I took the opportunity to build it for a Vietnam War GB on Facebook.

Whew – I really like that! I love the Thud, and I really like your weathering approach. All the detail looks fantastic. I’ve got a couple Thud kits but not the Trumpeter – you’ve convinced me I need one!

Thank you very much, Greg – ofcourse you need another Thud in the stash 🙂
It’s a great kit, part from the area around the tailfin (in front of the airbrakes), that needed a lot of work to go together.
If you are interested in the build process, here’s a build-log for this build.

I don’t do jets, probably never will, and very rarely comment on them. This effort deserves a well done!

Thank you, Dale. I’m honoured that it caught your attention.

Nice colours. Found myself standing next to one at a museum in the US once…it´s HUGE!
Craig Abrahamson said on April 16, 2019
I agree, Stellan…when I first saw one “up close and personal”, I found I could walk upright directly under the wing without ducking (and I’m 6′ tall) – 🙁

In my mind it is huge as a Greyhound bus…

Thanks, I never seen one IRL but they look massive.
