PKZ-2 – The first helicopter -1/48 – Eduard
At the last year of WWI, this helicopter was design in order to replace Observation Ballons. It was controlled by wire from land. Due to accidents, project was cancelled.
This is one kit of Eduard's "Never-Fighting Ladies" series, it was released in 1996 with two simple plastic sprues and one photoetched sheet. No decals.
I built it last year (2018) adding some scratch parts, rigging to improve the details. It looks like easy to built, but it is not at all. I spent several hours correcting and improving some parts from structure.
Although, it enjoyed it a lot. It was in my stash several years, but finally is done!
May be, this was the first operational helicopter in the history, because a counter-rotating system was developed to take off as many actual helicopters.
Thanks for watching.
