Back with the C-47
I have begun assembly of this magnificent bird. Gaps are to be filled with Tamiya putty, and then I will put on the wings, and then a final layer of dope, and then it's time to paint! There are various patch spots where my clumsy self accidentally broke the skin on the plane. Sorry if it bothers you.
Also, the kit is 1/32 scale. I just found that out now, lol.
Very cool. I don't think I ever successfully built a balsa plane, though I tried! I look forward to seeing her done!
Me too. I've been waiting for my birthday to ask for the paints for it.
It looks great so far! I look forward to the completion of this great balsa-wood kit. The C-47/DC3 certainly IS a VERY "magnificent bird."

I live this plane almost as much as I live the corsair. My great grandpa flew them in WW2, and was shot down 3 times.
Not to worry about the eventual outcome of this great build - I can already see it's going to be a beauty to behold (and "broken skin" is an easy fix). 🙂
