Mirage F1 AZ 1/32 Scale, Scratch Build. Part 5
Here is a update for all of you that are following the progress of this build, I had a hard time getting the correct shape of the nose section, and this involved quite a bit of sanding to get it to where I was satisfied with the out come, here is how I progressed,
After sanding the nose, I split it into two halves,
I then cut out the cockpit floor and the side panels and glued them into position.
I started to cut out and drill the instrument panel and cut out a backing panel with the gauges.
I used Aero Scale bezels for the instruments, ( the only non scratch built components)
Did all the piping and instrument boxes behind the seat.
Painted.
I then laminated some balsa wood and sanded to the shape of the nose cone which I will vacuum form next.
Hope you are enjoying the build so far, needless to say this is by far the most intense build I have done to date.
Enjoy
Marc
Marc,
It looks like you are making good progress. The cockpit looks terrific. I'm looking forward to seeing it finished.
Cheers,
Scott
