Tamiya 1/48 P-38E Lightning Aleutians 1943
As most of us know, this kit is outstanding. The fit is so good in parts, you hardly need glue ..
Spirit of 76 was flown by 2nd Lt John S Mackey of 54th FS/343rd FG Attu, Aleutian Islands 1943/44.
With the harsh conditions, weathering was prominent, so I did far more than I would normally, based on b/w pics of 76 which are online.
Hope you like. Thanks for looking.

Beautiful result especially the weathering.

Looks great Paul. This must be a great build they way they've been flying off of the work benches! I'll have to stop looking at mine and get moving! (I really like the weights they give you to keep it sitting properly!) I wonder if someone will eventually do some Glacier Girl decals for it?

Nicely done Paul, it appears this kit is as exceptional as the reviews state.
