Yak-40, AZ Models 1/144
Here are my latest finished kit from Czech company AZ Models in 1/144 scale. Yak-40 was small personal airliner designed in Sowiet Union in 1966 year. Kit are poor short-run type kit. I has aded many aditional work for building this kit.
I have used these colors and suplies:
- GSI Mr. Color Surfacer 1000 thinned with GSI Mr. Color Levelling Thinner
- white, black, red and grey colors are mix of GSI Mr. Color paints range
- gloss varnish are GSI GX-100 Gloss Clear heavilly thinned with GSI Mr. Color Levelling Thinner
- panel lines are washed with Tamiya Panel Line Accent Color (mixed with Tamiya enamel paints)
- all surfacers, colors and varnishes are sanded and polished
Conclusion:
Kit are bad for building. Many parts was rebuilded (for example: I must shorten wheel legs up to 3 mm down...). I don´t recomended this kit.
