Italeri KC-130J Havest Hawk, VMRG-252
This article is part of a series:
This kit started as an Italeri C-130E/H and along the way I
- Re-scribed the model,
- Reposition cabin windows for a J model,
- Added Hamilton Hobbies Sponson extensions, ECS inlet and duck tail (from the C-130H Update set) ,
- Replace the kit engines with Jen's Bits AE2000 engines and props,
- Added Attack Squadron Harvest Hawk conversion,
- Added Various scratch built antennas and pitot probes,
- Masked and painted the walkway markings, and
- Used Wolfpak Decals 72-117 Aces High for USMC KC-130J, Bu No166511 of VMGR-252 "Otis"
There are still a few minor details to sort but I will get to them one day
Nicely done! Seems you like big birds...
Very good job, Ray! you sure have put A LOTof work in this, and it shows.
Got myself the ...1/48 Hercules to build. Wiil build it as soon as I find a way to keep those massive wings to not sag down over time!
Oh, and to find a suitable parking lot as well!
All the best!
Awesome build
!Thank gents! I have started to build a new parking lot for this one 🙂
