1/72 Italeri F-21A Lion/Kfir

June 4, 2020 · in Aviation · 9 · 2.7K

This is my third 'no-frills, stash-reduction, build and paint' project completion while "staying at home" in California. A very cool looking aircraft used by the USMC and Navy as an 'agressor' plane for aerial combat training. Is Italeri latin for "putty monster"? It is the first Italeri kit that I can ever remember actually finishing. The kit was a potent reminder of why I've avoided them. But it was fun to take on a challenge and looks nice in my collection.

  1. That's a nice Kfir, Dennis!
Love the out of the norm camos of the aggressors, so I double like an out of the norm agressor plane type, like the Kfir.
    All the best!

  2. The putty monster looks good in that camo scheme Dennis. I like it

  3. OMGosh - was there a joint which did not need filler?
Nice work Dennis, I've always liked the aggressor camouflage.

  4. Very nice! I love the Kfir and all Mirage derivatives - this one looks nice! I did the F-21 in the Navy Aggressor scheme multi-tone greys. Still one of my favorite early builds, though back then I didn't even know what "putty" was - so...

  5. Looks great, nice color scheme!

  6. Looks good Dennis.

  7. Nice job Dennis, I like it!
If Italeri did starter packs like Airfix, they wouldn't come with paint and a brush, they'd come with a kilo of putty and 5 sheets of sandpaper!

  8. Nice one! I have the same kit still in the box.
