River patrol boat, South Vietnam Navy,RAG boat. 1/48 Monogram.
These patrol boats were used by the South Vietnam Navy in the Mekong delta by their River Assault Groups in the 1960's, armed with a 50 cal. and two 30 cal. machine guns.
The kit was originally issued in 1967 along with a Navy Swift boat and a Motorized Junk by Monogram.
This is a 1980's kit that was part of a Rambo combo kit that included their armed UH-1. The Huey is long gone. I think this the last time that the RAG boat was offered.
