1/48 Monogram P-47D (with extras!)
Things seem a little slow here at iModeler, so I’m reaching back into the past for an oldie but goodie.
I present to you my 1/48 Monogram P-47D, with drop tanks, bombs and prop from the Academy kit. Decals by Superscale #48-624 for the 79th FG.
Stay safe!

Nice clean work Brian, this one brings back memories. Monogram is what we had then and they are still here.

The summer is upon most of the happy modelers I believe Brian (@bzak), but back in groups a few are still going. Very nice blast from the past you posted here – thanks for sharing

Looks superb Brian. Quite the colorful Jug. And I’m with Spiros on the tail decoration, I like it.
Cheers,
Scott

You have dressed up this old but venerable kit very nicely. Great choice of markings.

Nice looking P-47. Always thought these kits were one of Monogram’s better efforts, and the extras you put on it definitely spruced it up a notch.

Handsome Jug – I hadn’t seem those markings before, very unusual – love the tail markings.

Nice Jug, The size of the P-47 makes it a natural for nose art.

Although an oldie, you made it look great, Brian.
A fantastic build.
See that you still have a nice stash.

That’s only 1/100th of what I have. If only I had the time to finish them all.
I must have at least 20 Monogram P-47’s alone!
