Griffon power! Airfix 1:48 Spitfire FR MkXIVe, 443 Sqn RCAF, Uetersen, Germany 1946
Completed for a recent commission. A lovely kit to build with no issues (other than what I caused myself!).
Details:
-Master brass barrels – the kit offerings are an odd shape
-Exito (printed by Cartograf) ‘Sweet Fourteens’ decals – amazing!
-CMK resin pilot
-Whip aerial made from a toothbrush bristle
-Montex masks
-Tamiya, Model Air acrylics
-Finished with oils and Tamiya weathering pigments

That’s a very nice looking Spit.
I know it is sacrilege but I prefer the look of the Griffon powered Spits over the Merlin ones. /runs away/

It really would make me happy if I knew how to add the appropriate sound to this! Well done!
