I am based in Norfolk, UK and supply highly detailed, museum quality replica scale models focusing on WWI & WWII subjects. Although I build a wide variety of model kits, I specialise in World War II military aircraft in 1/72, 1/48 and 1/32 scale.
You can commission your favourite model aircraft that will take you on a historical journey and could be your own personal tribute to the legendary airmen that took to the skies!

Accuracy and authenticity are paramount and the history behind every scale model is fully researched prior to construction, or you can specify your own markings and choose the level of detail to suit your budget. I strive to build to the highest standards so quality and attention to detail are not sacrificed in any way. I can also supply custom made presentation bases to your specifications.

I believe my pricing is very competetive and will be happy to provide you with an estimate according to your requirements. Please contact me if you would like any further details or to discuss a commission.

Take some time look at recent examples featured here or in my Behance portfolio http://www.behance.net/search?search=charles+whall

Airfix 1:48 Boulton Paul Defiant

Another commission build in flight mode. Straight build apart from pilot/gunner figures, wing tip navigation lights added and Master barrels to replace the kit items. The decals were after market, and I love those early schemes. A really nice ki[...]

Hobbycraft 1:32 Mustang MkIa

A commission build complete earlier this year. Not a bad kit, but at 1:32 it is really lacking in detail in the cockpit...very basic indeed! The pilot figure was added from aftermarket. I had to reshape the carburettor intake as the kit offering[...]

My little tribute for the Great War 100 anniversary

Hey folks, its been a long time since I posted anything here! My one and only amour project built as a commission for a friend. This is the 1:35 Emhar MkIV Male kit with new resin track, guns and scratch built rails, un-ditching beam and base. I[...]

Fairey Barracuda, 1:48 Special Hobby

This was a commission build for a client who creates amazing photo-composite work. You don't see many of these built, and I'm not surprised as it's a b***h of a kit in places! My client wanted a wheels-up configuration, which the kit does not in[...]

Feeling very Hornisse!

Picked up my prize today and VERY pleased I am too! Thanks again for the nomination guys!

PCM Hawker Hurricane Mk1 (Fabric Wing), No1 Sqn JX-C, France 1939…

This is the PCM 1:32 early Hurricane Mk1 in the markings of Flg/Off Paul Richey of No1 Sqn, France 1939. Finally after 18 months of mucking about with this, she's complete! I just couldn't get into modelling for a good while but got inspired aga[...]

Classic Airframes 1:48: Boulton Paul Defiant Mk1, Hornchurch, 1940

The build: I was never happy with the finish on this one so went for a complete respray as the real aircraft had a roughly applied demarcation line between upper/lower paint scheme on fuselage. Re-done weathering and added antennae wire. I open[...]

Junkers Ju 87B-2 (Hasegawa 1:48)

Representing a Stuka of 2./St.G 77 based in Caen, France during August 1940 I have always been fascinated by the Stuka, especially those of the Battle of Britain period, and have wanted to build one for a long time but was never really sure wha[...]

Messerschmitt Me109E-3, ‘White 8′, (Eduard 1:32)

Another commission build this time for a client in Germany. The 'White 8' markings are fictitious by request and reflects his interest in online flight simming-'White 8' being his online markings. The kit can be tricky in places and I opted to r[...]

Supermarine Spitfire MkIXC, 601 Sqn (Tamiya 1:32)

This was a commission build for a friend. The markings are 601 Sqn but are fictitious as per the aircraft he flies online. The Tamiya kit is an absolute pleasure to build and features a beautifully detailed Merlin 60 engine set to which I added [...]
