Special Hobby 1/72 Gloster Meteor "World Speed Record"
Hi There,
A small diversion form building for Innis by sticking together one for myself.
Primed with Mr. Hobby Finishing Surfacer White,
Painted with Colourcoats RAF/FAA Yellow, Xtreme Metals Aluminium and Tamiya rubber Black. Finished with Alclad Aqua Gloss.
This one isn't quite finished but I'm off on the Night Shift for a bit so I'll clean the gray wash off a bit more and touch up the canopy.
Thanks for looking,
Alistair
What a great paint scheme, Alistair (@alistairfgauld). It is nice to see a Meteor in something other than camouflage. Well done!
Thanks very much.
It was the scheme that grabbed me too.
Cheers,
Alistair
Hi Alistair. That is a very nice paint scheme. It makes me want to paint the one is my stash in The colours of a Belgian Air Force target drone tug.
Just do do something different besides the usual.
Thank you.
Thanks very much.
I'd go for it just for the fun of it.
Indeed, this color scheme enhances the beauty of the Meteor. Well done, liked it!
Thanks very much
This Meteor really looks like Speed Record plane in this scheme.
Well done, Alistair.
Thanks so much for your kind words
Congratulations Alistair!
This is a wonderful build and an equally wonderful scheme!
Hi Spiros,
It's a really nice scheme but I fear the build doesn't do it justice.
You win some, you lose some.
Cheers,
Alistair
Looks great!
Thanks very much
Bright and shiny! Looks speedy to me. Nicely done.
