Just Another Fun Build, Citroen Traction 11CV 1/48th Tamiya

December 15, 2020 · in Automotive · · 7 · 2K

Along with my Bf-109E-3/4 I built a to go along with it. This was a nice fun little kit, I missed a few things in the build the biggest is I missed some of the very fine seam lines until I painted it. I was amazed at how small this car is, it is even smaller than that Kubelwagen. I tried to vary the grey as much as possible to offer some interest to the Monotone color scheme. I think it will make a nice accessory to any of my Luftwaffe builds...say like the Bf-109 I built with it.

  1. Great little build, Walt, and I cannot see any seam lines.
    Looks great by the 109.
Those 1/48 Tamiya cars are mini jewels

  2. Nice work on this Walt.

Personally, I'd have put a couple of French civilians with Sten guns - stolen Luftwaffe transport, the getaway car of the FFI. 🙂

    • I have seen it built with FFI painted on the doors and maybe for the other one I have in my stash I could to. It would definitely give me more choices for car color.

  3. Nice little Luftwaffe staff-car Walt. Goes well with the 109 @luftwaffe-birdman.

  4. Neat job on this classic car, Walt. It's not that the car is small, just that the plane is oversized. The car is built to transport four people in reasonable comfort. The plane is built to transport just one person, in some discomfort, just so that it can go and attack a similar sized plane with just one person, it's a crazy world. I think a "dog-fight" between an armed Citroen and a Beetle would be worth watching.

  5. Excellant build, both!

  6. German/French friendship all the way !
As in the contemporary mutual french and Germans defence agreement. Finally !
Nothing since the Adenauer and the de Gaulle meeting in The Rheims cathedral has Something like this been seen since !
