Tamiya 1/48 P-47M

January 4, 2021 · in Aviation · · 14 · 1.9K

Hello!

This is my first finished project this year, the very well known and praised P-47 1/48 kit. Nothing to add, really, a superb kit. Only some small stencils did not behave well and...disintegrated. C'est la vie!

Since these especific birds didn't operate for too long, war ending in Europe was months away, I kept the weathering at a minimum, just some dirt from the airfields, but not too many scratches and chipping...

Canopy masks from Eduard, guns from Model Masters and seat belts from scratch.

Hope you enjoy!

Cheers

Unbelieveble how transparant that canopy is.
You must have been polishing it a lot.
    Paintjob is awesome.

  4. Further proof if such was necessary that this is one of the best plastic kits out there. Take care, follow the instructions, and a great result is practically guaranteed.

Very nice work on this. I like it a lot.
