F-15E Strike Eagle Revell 1/48 in progress… part 2.

April 22, 2021 · in Aviation · 11 · 1.8K

And we continue...

fuel tanks ready and missiles in place ...

Rear landing gear, secured and ready.

Lantirns painted, I wanted to change the tone a bit and leave them gunmetal ... I quite like the finish.

All the decals plane are ready.

Front landing gear mounted and ready

Lantirns placed and with their respective decals.

Bomb decals ready.

What's next? ... paneling all parts ... sealing the complete model and weathering effects ... after that, finish the cockpit and place the pilots.

  3. Looking great, my friend @kodai!
Amazing how many things can be hanged under the F-15, most of them small models by themselves!
Looking forward to see it coming along!

    • Thank you Spiros ... the truth is that I don't know if I can carry so much weapons, but I think it looks very good, I hope to finish the plane in a short time, and thus be able to start with the ground crew and the base.

      Greetings,

  4. That is a lot of hardware Anthony.
Pretty much matches what I've seen on the Web.
The final build is going to look impressive.

    • These are the actual bomb release units that the F-15E uses, they carry 6 BRU-46 and 9 BRU 47's. Many years ago I worked for the company that produced them.

  5. Great looking Eagle, Anthony. @kodai

Where'd you get that color chart? I went on the Testors' website, but I couldn't find it.
