Hasegawa Kawasaki Ki-61 Hien 1:48

April 19, 2021 · in Aviation · · 10 · 1.2K

Here is one I finished up last year ; its Hasegawa's 1/48 Ki-61-i Tei Hien . I bought it as part of a double boxing along with its sister Ki-100 I Otsu. I finished it up as a Chinese Nationalist aircraft just to have a different one from the usual flashy Japanese ones.
The kit was as you would expect; perfect fit and no issues ; this is the reason why I dont ususally build Tamiya or Hasegawa 🙂 . Decals are by Kora and there are photos of this a/c floating about the interwebs

Regards
Brian

  5. Yeah, nobody likes good fit and no issues.

I like the out of the ordinary scheme and it definitely looks like something swiped from an airfield after the war.

  6. Great choice of colour scheme and markings.

  7. Nicely done! I agree about the scheme.
