1/96 Saturn V – Revell
Hi, finally finished kit from Revell in 1/96 scale. I tried my best. It is not perfect and there are small differences with original rocket but Iam ok with it. Now it will be nice piece of decoration ?
Smoke is pet bottle wrapped around with led stipe, some leds I paint transparent yellow and red paint , literally only separate leds, randomly but on top i let it be white, in middle orange, bottom red and then cotton wool glue on it. Cotton then is painted just a little bit with grey shades from middle to bottom. It is no magic ? simple and easy.
Anyway the kit is from previous century so quality is ... just Revell 😀
I hope you will like it 😉
Very impressive build, Radek.
Really love the way you present that exhaust effect.
You described it as being simple, but I think it is much more than that.
Wonderful decoration.
Great job! Love the exhaust...very striking!
What John said... That is a very cool piece of decor, and I can think of more than a few people who would love to have such a piece on display.
Congralations Radek!
This is a wonderful result and I just LOVE the exhaust fumes!
That exhaust is really impressive.
Cool idea!
Only improvement I can come up with is some dry ice at the bottom shelf to have smoke come pouring out of the cabinet 🙂
Really clever and nicely done. What a great way to display this rocket!
Awesome build!
Beautiful work, looks amazing!
Nicely done Radek, looks cool and hot !
I think i'm going to do a 1/144 version and make it into a nightlight display using your technique.. Really inspiring.
Very clever. I remember building this model when I was a kid in the previous century.
Wow. Beautiful piece of modeling art.
Terrific exhaust effect, definitely liked.
Awesome display!
I have a 1/144 version in my stash.
I will be copying the exhaust effect.
That is one heck-of-a mood lamp!
That is absolutely brilliant! The most effective way I have ever seen for displaying this rocket. I can almost hear the roar and crackle of the exhaust!
This is seriously awesome! I've never seen the like. VERY inventive, Radek. @bradeq
