Operation Barbarossa...1/48 Focke-Wulf Fw190A-5, 5./JG54
Built over 6 years ago.
Eduard Weekend Edition (initial tooling) mostly oob, added seatbelts, antenna wire and some landing gear detail. Painted with Gunze and Tamiya acrylics.
Aircraft of Leutnant Emil "Bully" Lang, CO of 5./JG54 in Russian summer 1943. He was credited with 173 victories. Lang was KIA on September 3rd 1944 during an engagement with RAF Spitfires over Belgium when he was CO of II./JG26.
An amazing Wurger, Reinhard, beautiful camo!
Great scheme and weathering, Reinhard.
Another one of my favorite schemes on my favorite Luftwaffe plane.
Another great work by one of our resident master modelers. All good.
I love JG 54 airplanes, there were so many cool schemes to do. No two really alike. Beautiful work on this, especially since it's the 'difficult" Eduard Fw-190.
Thanks! Yes, JG54 had lots of unique camo schemes.
My dad built several of the first tooling Eduard 190s, did cost him some nerves 😀
Another gorgeous LW bird in green and sand!
Splendid 190 Reini, in a very striking paint job too! Congratulations to you and your dad! 🙂
Great work. I did an Eduard JG 54 190 several years back and enjoyed the build
