End of War...1/48 Messerschmitt Bf109G-10 (Erla), 3./JG300
25/2021
And here´s my dad´s second 109 of Eduard´s Wilde Sau Pt II Dual Combo I bought my dad for Father´s Day.
Like with the other, mostly built oob. Added brake lines with plastic rods and lead wire, EZ Line for the antenna wires.
Towards the end of the war, Erla G-10 and other types they produced, were painted either in two darker green tones or in a single darker green tone for better ground coverage. Not exactly known which colour, could be a variation of RLM81, even 70 or 71. My dad used Gunze H421 Dark Green as it was proposed by Eduard. Underwing painted with Gunze RLM76 and MRP White Aluminium. Fuselage band is painted too.
The Aircraft was assigned to 3./JG300 and was stationed at Prague-Gbel/Bohemia in May 1945.

That is one mean looking 109. Sort of takes it back to pre-war looks with the all over green camou.

Awesome like your dad's usual standard, Reinhard @grimreaper
His eye for perfection is fantastic.

Reinhard, @grimreaper
This is my favorite of your two latest postings. It has that Late War Luftwaffe "look" with the simplified colors, and bare metal in some places under the wings. This model is the best one your Dad has built to date in my opinion. It was a joy to read how it went together. Thank you for posting yet another Luftwaffe group build journal. People like you have made it as successful as it has become.
This was the perfect father's Day gift 🙂
I definitely pressed the "like" button.

Ditto from me, Reinhold (@grimreaper). Talent must run in the family, well done.

I like that - the unusual monochromatic finish, and the NMF underneath, pair up to give it a very nice scheme. The build and finish are what we've come to expect from the Spreitzhofer Works!

Very nice work on this 109… the all green camo plus the bare metal & blue lower surface really stands out .
