Tamiya 1/24 Mazda 787B 1991 Lemans winner.
Hi friends,
here is my last buit, the rotary screamer Mazda 787B winner of 1991 lemans 24Hs. Those esquisite race cars took my attention when won the most prestigious endurance race, with a non otto cicle engine. The sound of the 4 rottor wankel is unique, and lemans conquest deserves respect. The kit was old, but a pleasure to buit, ease. Decals was a chalenge, but I finished the task. Pigments are period correct, with several layers of automotive clear coat. Here is some pictures of the building process, almost out of box, exept for the spark plug wires. Hope you enjoy it!
Terrific build of an important car in motor racing history, still the only rotary engined car to win the Le Mans 24 hour race. The colour looks spot on. Interestingly Valentino Rossi chose to drive this car when he made an appearance at the Goodwood Festival of Speed a few years ago. Definitely liked.
Thanks George, interesting to hear about Valentino Rossi. I had no idea about his choice at goodwood.
I'm not a car modeler but your effort definitely deserves a thumbs up!
Excellent build, Eduardo @eduardomorcego
This rotary kind of engine is a very fine piece of engineering.
Super cool! I have a "Hot Wheels" scale (1/64?) one I bought when I was stationed in Japan, such a cool paint job, your's looks great!
Amazing build, Eduardo!
A winner of a model!
I can really appreciate the work it took to get that kind of finish you achieved on this kit. Really beautiful work to get it that smooth and all those decals to look painted on, really awesome work!
Thanks Walt, the several clear coats after decal placement, made possible to sand and smooth the surface, and then, with final polishing, all decals looks flat.
