Zvezda 1/48 Mi-24 Hind
I've always been intimidated by the Hind. It is big and it looks mean. When the Zvezda kit came out, I just had to build it. I'd say it was a much easier build than the Hasegawa Apache but it does require some care and patience closing up the multi-part fuselage, the multi-part canopy and the iffy landing gear.
I wrote an article about the build which morphed into a commentary of how popular the Hind once was: https://modelairplanemaker.com/2021/03/02/1-48-zvezda-mi-24-hind-a-model-of-the-most-destructive-military-force-ever-conceived/
Let me know what you think!
A wonderful Hind, Chris! Love all this extra detailing you added! The end result is definitely impressive!
Loved reading your article at Model Airplane Maker: born in 1966, being a youngster during the 70s, I do miss those simpler times...
Congratulations!
Oh man... now more than ever! We have way better models to build now.. so there is that!
Magnificent build!
Fabulous! More pictures, please.
Great build, Chris. Looks as brutish as the real thing. Superb detail on the engine and armament. Beautifully airbrushed camo.
Outstanding model of the machine that became the terror of the skies of Afghanistan for a while.
Excellent build, Chris @modelairplanemaker
The Hind is indeed a mean looking machine, very impressive, just like your build.
Nicely detailed and painted.
Well done.
Very nice, congrats!
Oh, and you've got one more follower for your blog 😀
