1/50 Scale Weathered Trailer

April 26, 2022 · in Automotive · · 18 · 1K

This is the second part to the Middle Eastern build I am doing for Tobias Oskarsson & Fredrik Hultman. I have just weathered the and the tractor unit is next, that is why you only see photos of the trailer. I've also included the photos of the original model before weathering. I think I will do a little more dust effect when I am done with the tractor unit to tie everything together, when I coupled them together. Then take some more photos with it on the dio before sending them off to the customer.

  1. Sounding repetitive, but looking at your model I am sure I am looking at the real thing, Charles!
Such is the quality of your work.
Well done, my friend, looking forward to it!

    • Hello Spiros. Thank you for your kind and uplifting words. Natural lighting and camera angles do give that illusion. πŸ™‚ I'll take a complete photo of the finish model when I complete the tractor unit.

  2. Fantastic work on the weathering, can't wait to see the tractor as well.

  3. Fantastic. The work of a weathering genius.

  4. Really nice texture on the canvas, well done Charles!

  5. Another excellent result, Charles @tiking
Your weathering technique does indeed add a lot of realism to your builds.
    Truly amazing.

  6. Coming along nicely!

  7. Excellent road grime, Charles!

  8. When I see this model, I feel like I should be stuck behind this trailer on my commute to work or trying to find a way to pass it.

  9. I can’t see why you were a little worried about using an airbrush for this, the result is excellent.

    • Hi George. I always play the uncertain game, when I am not 100% a casual user of something like the airbrush. I am stilm learning how to handle it and most effectively. Still ways to go. I have still not used it to paint an entire model yet. But hopefully that will change soon by the grace of God. For now using it to weather is a little safer until I build up more confidence.
