Eduard FW-190 A3 1/48, Weekend Edition
FW-190 A3 white 12 flown by Fw Ernst Mayer of 9JG5, Herdla, Norway March 1945.
This Kit is the Weekend Edition Pack from Eduard, with extra photoetched seatbelts
and some cartograf decals from the Kagero publication no# 15036 „Fw 190s over Europe“ in addition.
I have used the color profile of the Kagero book as reference for the paintjob.
AK-Interaktive colors used and wheathering products from AK-Interactive and AMMO Mig Jimenez. This time I have some macro pictures for you, to show you my work on the wheathering job.
Text from Eduard: „Even as late as 1945, there were several examples of the Fw 190A-2 and A-3 serving with 9./JG 5 Eismeer along side of Fw 190A-8s and some F-8s. These would take part in the protection of the area and of the Norwegian shoreline. This Fw 190A-3 was painted RLM 74/75/76 and carried the JG 5 unit marking on the port side of the engine cowl. The white fuselage dot identified aircraft of III. Gruppe JG 5. The white colouring of the front of the airplane was specific to the 9. Staffel.“
I hope you like my pictures and the finished model.
Great work Andreas, that’s a sweet model. Your usual high standard in painting and weathering. I was surprised you made this one in 1/48. Been awhile since you presented a 1/48 scale model in these pages right?
I’m also posting another Eduard A-5 soon 😉
Thank you Pedro! Looking forward to see your 190!
Great work but where are the swastikas? Without them the model is just not accurate. History is not politically correct.
Impressive all around. Love the pics.
Impressive work on the model and the photography. A very nice result. Those Eduard 190s are addictive.
Fantastic job, Andreas!
Your photography is exceptional.
Superb result, Andreas @fletcher
Your photography is excellent as well.
thank you very much gentlemen, YMMD!
ps. the 2nd FW-190 is the Eduard kit in 1/72 scale (in the background)
Very nice model with great photos!
G'day Andreas (#fletcher),
A great build and subtle painting/weathering.
Liked!
Amazing photos and even more amazing model. Andreas!
Tahnk you George!
Thank you Gentleman!
A real beauty - love the paint and weathering! Well done.
Thank you Greg!
Excellent work and great close ups.
Thank you David. It was made with my older Huawei Cellphone
I really like the subtle weathering and the mottling. It looks like a veteran of many sorties, but at he same time it's not ready to be pushed in a pile by a bulldozer either.
that's exactly what I wanted to achieve, happy that you like it, Thank you!
Very nice.
Tahnks George
