Teaching an old dog new tricks

May 6, 2022 · in Figures · 11 · 1K

After spending many years building cars, ships and aircraft models using enamel and lacquer paints, I finally decided to try my hand at using acrylic paints. I also decided to re-learn how to paint with a brush once more. Though I feel I have a ways to go, I feel I am getting better with each new project...and I am having a great time learning this new world while expanding my skill set.

  4. Great display Jack. i had to re-learn painting with acrylics too .Once one learns how to use them, they become the way to go. It takes a while though... and so much easier in clean up too.

  5. Great results, Jack @camaro1

  8. Great work, Jack. Excellent figures especially.

  9. These are great, Jack, you’re still a puppy at heart. Any chance of doing a racing driver. I’m thinking James Hunt sitting on the rear wheel of his McLaren having a quick smoke...

  10. Looking great!
