Eduard Spitfire Mk1

This is the Mk1 which I have recently completed as a commission build for a chap who found me through imodeler! My builds are normally for magazines but Bobby, who commissioned this build, particularly liked my Spitfires so I agreed to build this one for him. I'm happy to say he was very pleased with the result and I'm also building a Hurricane for him now.

The Eduard Spitfire is a superb kit and here I have used and Xtradecals for the markings. Paint is Gunze Sangyo as usual and the final finish is MRP's superb 'Super Semimatt' which looks far better than a matt finish. Hope you enjoy the photos!

  8. Really nice-looking Spitfire, Alan (@alanprice1). The finish and weathering is outstanding. MRP paints are hard to find where I live, but I think I want to mail order some semi-matt...looks great.

  9. You absolutely cannot go wrong with an Eduard Spitfire, whichever one you choose. As you so clearly demonstrate here. No wonder your client is happy, @alanprice1.
